Self Clothing

I'm currently in the middle of a big pitch for a great job so fingers crossed it goes well. In the meantime, here's a plug for a great U.K. & Honk Kong label Self Clothing I'm a big fan of their worker style cord chino's but their fabric choices across the range is great. Below is what the company is about in their own words:

We aim to fill the gap between the high-street and premium brands offering collections of contemporary men’s basics - from the white shirt to the peacoat, the chino to the shawl-collared cardigan - that can be worn season after season. OUR remit is not to scare the horses with high design, but to recognise that people want rich or interesting detail even in their everyday wardrobe favorites without being painfully cool or overpriced.

Fabrics are unexpected for the money too: indigo dyed, for example, heavy twills, dense corduroys and luxurious wool knitwear. And for those who like a telling detail, take a look at this season’s shirts, including chambray styles with button-down collars. French-seamed they may be, but they also have three-hole buttons, rather than the usual two or four. The significance? They can’t be sewn on by machine, only by hand.
